Affiliate Disclosure
Transparency is important to us.
This page explains how CloudedSite.com earns revenue, how that affects our content, and what it means for you as a reader.
The Short Version
Some links on CloudedSite.com are affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a purchase or sign up for a service, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. This is how we fund the site and keep our content free.
Our reviews and recommendations are based on genuine testing and honest evaluation. We do not accept payment to write positive reviews, and affiliate relationships do not influence our ratings or conclusions. If we think a tool is not worth your money, we say so — regardless of whether it has an affiliate program.
FTC Compliance
This disclosure is made in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials in advertising, as outlined in 16 CFR Part 255. The FTC requires that websites disclose any material connection between the site and the companies whose products or services are promoted or recommended.
A material connection includes any relationship that could affect the credibility of a recommendation — including affiliate commissions, free products received for review, or any other compensation. CloudedSite.com discloses all such relationships.
✅ What we disclose
- Affiliate commission relationships
- Free products or services received for review
- Sponsored content or paid placements
- Any other material connection to a brand
📋 How we disclose it
- Disclosure box at the top of every article containing affiliate links
- This dedicated disclosure page linked from every article
- Clear language — not buried in footnotes or fine print
🔒 What doesn’t change
- Our editorial independence
- Our ratings and recommendations
- Our willingness to say when a tool isn’t worth it
How Affiliate Links Work
When you click a link on CloudedSite.com that leads to a third-party product or service, that link may contain a tracking code that identifies CloudedSite.com as the source of the referral. If you complete a qualifying action — such as making a purchase, signing up for a free trial, or subscribing to a paid plan — the company may pay CloudedSite.com a commission.
The price you pay is never affected by whether you use our affiliate link or navigate to the product directly. Affiliate commissions are paid by the company, not added to your bill.
Not every link on this site is an affiliate link. Many links — to research sources, product documentation, free tools, and reference material — are included purely because they are useful, with no commercial relationship of any kind.
How This Affects Our Content — And How It Doesn’t
CloudedSite.com tests and evaluates tools based on real professional use. Our goal is to give you an accurate, useful assessment of each tool — not to sell you on every product we cover.
| What affiliate relationships do NOT affect | What affiliate relationships DO affect |
|---|---|
| Our ratings and star scores | Which tools we choose to review and write about |
| Our conclusions about a tool’s weaknesses | Whether we include a call-to-action link at the end of a review |
| Our pricing accuracy and transparency | The order in which tools may be presented in some roundups |
| Our recommendation to avoid a tool when it isn’t worth it | Which external links we include vs. plain text mentions |
We review tools that do not have affiliate programs. We criticize tools that do. We recommend tools based on quality — not commission rates. If a tool we cover has a higher commission rate than a competitor but performs worse, we will say so clearly.
Current Affiliate Relationships
CloudedSite.com may have affiliate or referral relationships with some of the companies whose tools appear on this site. This includes but may not be limited to tools in the following categories:
- AI writing and productivity tools (including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Jasper, and similar platforms)
- Workflow automation tools (including Zapier, Make.com, n8n, and similar platforms)
- SEO and research tools (including Semrush, Ahrefs, Surfer SEO, and similar platforms)
- Meeting and transcription tools (including Otter.ai, Fireflies, and similar platforms)
- Project management and productivity tools (including Notion, Asana, Monday.com, and similar platforms)
- Web hosting and site infrastructure tools
Affiliate relationships change over time as we add new reviews and as affiliate programs launch, update, or close. This page is updated periodically to reflect current relationships. The absence of a specific tool from this list does not mean no affiliate relationship exists — when in doubt, assume that any outbound link to a commercial product may be an affiliate link.
Free Products and Review Access
Occasionally CloudedSite.com may receive free or discounted access to tools for the purpose of review. When this occurs, it will be noted in the relevant article. Receiving free access does not guarantee a positive review, and we return or discontinue access to any tool we decide not to recommend.
We do not accept payment to write reviews. We do not accept payment to change the outcome of a review. We do not publish sponsored reviews labeled as editorial content.
